Who are The Lighthouse Club charity?

The Lighthouse Club charity exists to improve the welfare and wellbeing of our construction community in the UK and Ireland. Their vision is that no construction worker or their family should be alone in a crisis. They have developed a significant portfolio of services to help deliver the best possible support to the construction workforce and their families. It is a charity dedicated to providing professional support for construction workers and their families struggling with emotional and physical issues.

What do they do?
The charity has developed 5 free support services for anyone in construction or allied trades to access. ADVANCE have committed to supporting the charity as a Company Supporter and join them on their mission to:
• Reduce construction industry suicides
• Improve workforce welfare and wellbeing for this generation and the next
• Keep their key support services free for everyone in the construction industry to access

24/7 Confidential Helpline
This Construction Industry Helpline covers all aspects of emotional, physical and financial wellbeing and is available in many different languages through partnerships with translation services

Text HardHat 24/7
A text messaging service that gives immediate access to text back counselling.

Self-support app
Downloadable Wellbeing Support App called ‘Construction Industry Helpline’ that covers all the aspects of wellbeing. It’s packed with information to learn about conditions, how to develop coping strategies with signposting to over 3000 accredited organisations that provide support.
Masterclasses
Wellbeing Masterclass Sessions. These are 1 hour scheduled CPD Accredited wellbeing education sessions covering topics such as Managing Stress, Promoting Happiness Building Resilience & Work Life Balance.
Lighthouse Beacons
There are over 160 volunteer centres around the UK and Ireland where workers can drop in to meet likeminded people, socialise and talk. The Beacons are facilitated by individuals with lived experience and in this confidential environment, encourage those struggling with life problems to share their issues and if required, seek further help
