A quick update

Here's a quick update on our experiences since the IR35 changes (off-payroll) came into effect from 6th April 2021 and what ADVANCE are doing to ensure we help support you and your workers through this challenging time and also your workers which are not impacted by IR35.

Over recent weeks, we have seen a large number of PSC/limited company contractors continuing to dig their heels in, and are refusing to switch to another solution until a deadline is enforced upon them from their agency or End Client.

On the positive side, our dedicated team, “Contractor Relations” have received numerous inbound calls over the last two week from PSC/limited company contractors looking to set up quickly to ensure they are ready to be paid their first payment in April 2021. The team worked over the Easter bank holiday to ensure we were able to provide additional support through this challenging time. The teams at ADVANCE continue to work longer hours to pro-actively all contact contractors to ensure we have all the relevant personal information to ensure their first payment is not delayed.

Communication continues to be at the core of everything we do, we continue to text & e-mail as well as pro-actively contact these PSCs switching to ensure the transition is as seamless as it can be. We are also asking PSC contractors to speak to their accountant to ensure they process a P45 or ask for nil on their payroll with immediate effect, to ensure their tax code in not impacted in the wrong way.

In addition, we are proactivity calling all workers regardless of whether they are impacted by IR35 to ensure we have everything in place to process their payments. We are all in the office focused on answering the phone within seconds and providing world class service.
