Yesterday was an exciting day here at ADVANCE, as we announced our financial results for 2016-17.
We were pleased to tell the world that revenues increased by 13% to £64.6m in the year to 31st March 2017.
The record-high turnover, up from £57.1m in 2015-16, means we have now achieved year-on-year growth for seven consecutive years since ADVANCE was founded in 2010.
Managing director Shaun Critchley attributed our recent growth to strong demand from contractors and recruiters for ADVANCE’s umbrella, limited company and self-employment solutions.
These results were achieved in a year that was sandwiched by two major legislation changes – the travel & subsistence umbrella reforms and the public sector IR35 changes.
The fact that we continued to grow shows our ability as a business to adapt and thrive in a sector where the only constant seems to be change.
Since March we have performed even better as a business, thanks in part to a heightened focus amongst recruitment agencies on compliance as a factor in choosing their supply chain partners.
Shaun, a qualified solicitor who has advised many of the UK’s leading recruitment businesses on legislation changes, added:
A key focus for us between now and March 2018 will be ensuring we are GDPR-compliant ahead of schedule, whilst continuing to provide contractors and recruiters with world-class service.
ADVANCE is based in a peaceful, rural setting on the outskirts of Chester, near the England-Wales border.
We support contractors working in a wide range of industry sectors including engineering, construction, IT, healthcare and education.
